We are delighted and proud to have participated in the 6th Global Initiative for Children’s Surgery Congress (GICS VI), held from April 24 to 26, 2026 in Bogotá, Colombia.
It was a true honor to present our activities on this international stage, alongside experts and committed partners from around the world. GICS is one of the most important gatherings for all those working to improve access to pediatric surgery in resource-limited countries, and being present there affirms that our work is fully aligned with this global movement.
These three days of rich and stimulating exchanges allowed us to share our experiences in Senegal and Burkina Faso, learn from innovative practices developed elsewhere, and strengthen essential collaborations for the future.
We return from Bogotá with new ideas, new contacts, and renewed energy to continue our mission: ensuring every child has access to quality surgical care where the need is greatest.
