
Dr Anata Bara
Dr Bara has served, since December 2024, as Director of Public Health Facilities at Burkina Faso's Ministry of Health, the body responsible for the technical oversight of all public hospitals in the country.
She previously headed, for six years, the Planning and Monitoring-Evaluation department within that same directorate, and served at the Embassy of Burkina Faso in Rabat as coordinator of health cooperation between the two countries.
A public health physician holding a diploma in health program monitoring and evaluation, she has seventeen years of experience in hospital management, program management, and health cooperation.
She notably contributed to the design and implementation of the pediatric surgery development project in Burkina Faso, while investing in the holistic strengthening of the pediatric surgical ecosystem and the mobilization of all stakeholders involved.
Author and co-author of several scientific publications in the field, Dr Bara has been nominated for the 2026 national distinction in recognition of her professional commitment.
